USDA PLANT GROWING ZONES
USDA Plant Hardiness Growing Zones are used nation wide. The map was developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture
and was first published in 1960. It divides the United States into 10 Plant Hardiness Zones. Each Growing Zone is
determined by a 10-degree Fahrenheit difference in the average minimum temperature with Zone 1 being the coldest
and zone 11 being the warmest.
